Ok, I finally have caught up somewhat to where I was previously from Domocamp. Things need to be fixed and cleaned up here and there, but all in all, I think I can finally take some time and really get my ideas across.

Some things I'll be a bit strict with, but I want to maintain a certain degree of quality for this site. I want this wiki to be a reliable source for good information in an organized fashion that is as easy as possible for people to add onto and easy to adjust to the translation changes that are still coming through. |
[edit] My Vision
I know most people who are just starting to work on wikis won't know how to properly create tables, format information, make links, and so on. I've tried to make templates that need minimal formatting knowledge and are as easy to read as possible. I'm trying to take care of the bigger sections of pure monotony to ease the process in learning. If there is any formatting knowledge anyone needs passed on, don't hesitate to ask.
The only thing I want from this wiki is decent information, ease of navigation, and good detail. If possible, I'd like to recruit people for translation of the templates and information into other languages if there is a demand for it and I can obtain the support for it.

The following is what I am planning out and working on for this wiki. There is a fair amount of research and material work to do that I could use some assistance with.
[edit] Templates
At the time of this writing, I am mostly satisfied with how my Armor, Weapon, and Bestiary templates are looking. I still have work to do on creating an NPC template, Quest template, and Item template. There is research still to be done on some aspects to refine the templates that are currently in circulation.
The reason I haven't taken the item template from Domocamp is that it was not made by me in any form, nor had I touched it at all. The formatting was of a different nature than the other pages also, falling out of harmony with the rest of the site. This wiki has more parser functionality (that is, more server-side manipulation) than Domocamp, so there is more things I can do to make a general item template.
[edit] Section Development
The Jobs section is the next project I have my eyes on. Domocamp's information is somewhat of a mess in organization. I have to come up with a skill template to be used for skill pages that should be linked from this area. Information from the game and from official websites need to be compiled into the page for referential storyline placement. I am unsure whether I should attempt to figure out the information the Japanese wiki has for equip rates and such or wait until that information can be obtained from our own servers to confirm that they are the same.
The Quest section will come next. I realize this should be higher on my priority list, but I lack the information necessary to create a good base template, as well as enough quest names to create a testing base of varying types. Quests come in the form of Series and List.
Abandoned Mortuary is a sample of a Series quest, while Eversun Guide's quests and Darkdale Destroyer's quests are samples of list quests. The template will likely only cover what will appear at the top of the page, sections will need to be created for Quest Details (broken up by step), Mission Log text, etc.
The Pet section I can only begin to arrange, as I do not own a single pet, and don't really want to spend the money to obtain one (I hardly spend time playing honestly, as I'm working here most of the time and trying to do college work). I have ideas on what I want to do for the arrangement, but I am unsure what information I need to make room for. I have artwork that I've found that I can place on the pages. I don't want to pull in-game pictures from Gamania if I don't have to (in part because I want to get pictures of as large a size as possible to fit with the 400x400 and reduced plan I have going with other images).

I will be grabbing these from time to time. I have some images already that I can convert over to my new planned proportions of 400x400 that get shrunk to 200x200 (lucky for me I saved the original psd files at full resolution). I unfortunately have to retrieve all my NPC images from scratch once more though... This is good and bad. Good in that I needed to obtain some pictures from Sprite height anyway. Bad in that many pictures were fine as they were... For anyone wishing to aid in this process, please note my image requirements listed at the Community Portal.
I have maps prepared that I have cleaned of UI elements and have no text so that I can have them at the proper planned size with clean text. I simply have to re-type the text and arrange them in a fashion that everything can be read.
Something in particular that I need help with is obtaining pictures for the cash shop costume items. I had gotten volunteers before for these images and made a few sample cards. Unfortunately, in the re-installation incident with my computer, I lost most of these along with the rest of my 1300 screenshots...
